How it works
Coins are pinned to real trends
Every coin launched through TrendiPad is tied to 1–3 trend pins: a TikTok hashtag, a TikTok sound, an Instagram hashtag, or a keyword. Pins are normalized so many coins can share one trend; we fetch data per trend, never per coin.
Where the data comes from
- TikTok, Instagram and X: Scrape Creators (fallback: Apify actors)
- YouTube: YouTube Data API v3 (fallback: Scrape Creators)
- Google Trends: SearchApi's google_trends engine, a relative 0–100 search interest index (worldwide, past day and past 7 days) refreshed at most hourly
A separate worker fetches on a schedule (hot trends every 10 min, warm every 30 min, cold every 6 h) and stores every reading as a raw snapshot. The website never calls these APIs during a page load. Instagram has no total hashtag views, so we only ever show summed plays on recent top Reels. X results from Scrape Creators are Google-indexed, so post counts in the last hour are a lower bound.
Trend Score (0–100)
For each platform we smooth the main metric with an exponential moving average and compute velocity as ln(now / then) over 1 h and 6 h. Level and velocity are percentile-ranked across all active trends. The score is 100 × the weighted mean of (0.4 × level percentile + 0.6 × velocity percentile) over platforms with fresh data, weights renormalized when a platform is missing, and no single platform may contribute more than 40%.
Positive velocity on 3+ platforms earns a small bonus. One platform spiking while the rest are flat gets a penalty and a visible single-source spike flag. When a source fails we show data delayed with the last real value and its timestamp.
Verified accounts
Creators verify a TikTok, Instagram or X account without OAuth: we give them a code to put in the account bio, then read the bio and check for it. Verified coins show the badge plus follower count and recent post views. Links without verification are labeled Unverified. Verified accounts are re-checked daily.
Launching
Coins are created on pump.fun through PumpPortal's local transaction API. Metadata goes to IPFS, PumpPortal returns a create transaction, and you sign it in your wallet. Market data (price, market cap, volume) comes from DexScreener and is cached for about a minute.
Launch a coinData honesty
Every number shows its source and last-updated time. Trend data is for information only, may be delayed or inaccurate, and never triggers payouts or on-chain actions.
